post work out meal

Hey guys, what do you do for post work out nutrition?
They say that your post work out meal  is the most important meal of the day.

During the workout your muscles use glucose and glycogen (stored energy) for energy. When your glycogen stores are depleted it causes muscles loss and breakdown. You could prevent breakdown  and refuel your muscles by consuming a fast digesting protein (whey protein) and a simple carbohydrate.  The most recommended post nutrition meal is a whey protein shake which includes simple carbohydrates or high glycemic index carbohydrates.  This provides an insulin release which transfer glucose to you muscle quickly. (glucose aids in protein  syntheses and prevents muscle breakdown)

Do you guys agree with this????

LauraLondon: I have a protein shake with carbs in it within a half hour after my work out.  For me usually 20 -25 grams of carbs.  Then I eat a meal about 2 hours later.  Chicken, sweet potato and steamed veggies.

barbelldog: I do the protien and alot of water. My problem is Training @ 5:30 A.M before work I cannot take in to much in or I’ll fall asleep at my desk. On the real now  I usually do a large protien shake and then eat 4oz raw spinach and carrots or  a power bar this usually allows me to be comfortable until meal #1 which is @ 10:00am.
