What Bench shirt is right for you

Thier are so many different styles of shirts available today it can really get confusing. they have developed shirts for arch lifters flat back lifters low groove lifters and high groove lifters.
Before you purchase a shirt you need to understand the mechanics and theory behind the shirt and complexity of the contest form lift.
With contest form many people adapt thier own technique. But most experienced strength benchers do many things the same
1) Keep your elbows tight to the side of your body.
This allows the tricept to rest on the lat on the way down. Causing a more concentrated stretch refrex.
2) Follow  the path of least resistance (The shortest stroke of the lift.
Think of this in the gym you have people who bench elbows out with an ultra wide grip and many complain of shoulder pain. When you are pushing something in front of you ( Car Cart Whatever) You use the body’s natural push form with the elbows tight to your side and your tri 90 degree’s of your forarm you never flare out. Keep it simple follow your body’s instinctive positions when executing any lift.
3) Get your feet in a position that allows you to use them for stability and push as hard as you can against the floor.

4) Breathing techniques I willnot get into these right now because I will not be responsible for an injury.
Shirt selection I am very partial to INZER due to their customer service and make it right additude. But for a beginner I would recommend an HD Blast this shirt is very adaptive and does not take to much to learn to use. You will not get the numbers you can in a more advanced shirt but they are adequate and fairly priced. Only after you achieve a good comfort level with this shirt would I move up and please stick with single ply equipment with a closed back until you get some experience.
Thanks Butch Please post any questions or comments.

wally42: I have been using an Inzer Advance Design and that has seemed to do right by me as far as grooving is concerned.
