That is exactly what Sasha Brown has done.  She has taken her goals and put them on the front burner, blasting herself into shape with years of meticulous dedication.  Sasha’s story shows that anything is possible no matter what your background.  Hailing from a small village in the Ukraine, Sasha grew up on a farm her parents owned.  Her meals consisted of fried pork, potatoes, hearty breads and yes even homemade butter!  Although the culinary genius of creating your own butter is awe inspiring, the cholesterol levels it incites are not.  Sasha managed to maintain a healthy weight while at home with a mixture of swimming and chores, so being active wasn’t an issue.
All of that changed when Sasha hit college.  The freshman fifteen is no joke on a five foot six inch frame and Sasha definitely wasn’t laughing.  She immediately joined a martial arts program, started lifting weights and attending step aerobics classes.  She was doing everything right in the gym, but knew nothing of the damage she was doing in the kitchen. Her nutrition needed some serious attention, roller coasting through periods of intense calorie deficit to gorging; she knew something needed to change.  Emotional eating can get the best of any athlete; with careful attention we can avoid torturing ourselves with unnecessary difficulty.
Sasha found the guidance she needed when she ran into legendary nutrition coach Kim Oddo.  She met Oddo at one of Monica Brant’s fitness camps; he worked with her one on one to change her diet into a clean self-regulating machine.   She started with a twelve-week plan that blossomed into a lifestyle.  Her morning workouts began at 4:30am, weights at lunch and a second cardio session.  Sasha kept herself honest with a journal and wrote everything (yes EVERYTHING) in it, from what workouts she had done to what she had eaten for the day.  She even included praise or discipline so upon a glance she could see if she was trending toward a disciplinary kind of a day (nothing like holding yourself accountable!)  She didn’t miss a single cardio session in months and the results were beginning to show.  Sasha was developing a rock hard six-pack, defined shoulders and toned arms.

She now shares her knowledge as a personal trainer and lifestyle coach, helping others attain what she has worked so diligently to achieve.
