How to get rid of Soreness?

What are some good foods/suppliments to get over the soreness especially after doing a heavy leg day?

sparkles87: Hi! The curcumin suggestion is a good one because it’s anti-inflammatory.
Try foods rich in potassium, magnesium and calcium (bananas, dairy). These three nutrients have a direct role in muscle contraction and function, and a lack can create spasms or soreness.
Also, not a food, but a good soak in epson salts works really well for sore muscles.

MadMax: A light quick workout like bodyweight squats or light weight squats (30% of 1RM)
makes a big difference just be sure to keep the workout quick and light!!

MeatSackAL: I was looking more from a food aspect, I have a good idea of what to to take suppliment wise. Im gonna try some of those out in my deit. Thanks Pete

PeteBauman: if you are looking for foods to help, anything with circumin in it should help a lot. this includes spices like cumin, turmeric, peppers, etc. cinnamon will also do the trick, try getting a tsp or two. add it to your oatmeal or your shakes.

you could always try ibuprofen too, lol.

jesterno2: the best thing i’ve ever done is to make sure you get a good post-workout drink with a high amount of BCAAs in it, like Surge Recovery. if you are getting really sore you should probably be drinking a shake during your workout too.
