I totally feel your pain. When I plan on using the squat rack and see someone “playing around” with a few pounds socializing, I feel like kicking them out.

If you go to the gym and don’t plan on actually working out then go home.  I don’t have patients for people that go to socialize, lift a few pounds here and there and say they worked out. They basically just take up space and affect my workout.  It sounds selfish but sometimes I really feel that I have more privilege to use the squat rack and kick someone out because I know my workout means more to me then their workout means to them. I actually have a purpose and a reason why I am squatting. I don’t just do it to say I worked out!!
