yeah, a lot of people forget that the main purpose of the abdominals
and other core muscles is stabilization, not flexion or rotation as you
see with crunches or many other “ab exercises”. like David says it’s
absolutely essential to use isometric exercises to strengthen your
core.
rule of thumb, if you can’t hold a plank for
at least 2 minutes with good form you have no business wasting any time
with crunches and the like.
