I know right? It’s crazy to think just how much things have changed over time and how it has yo-yo’d back and forth. The funniest thing of all is that we are getting back to the way we used to eat back in time with diets like the Paleo Diet. All the technology and science hasn’t advanced nutrition all that much when you really think about it in the big scheme of things. ^_^

you aren’t genetically altering the DNA of an organism if you are putting a chemical pesticide/herbicide of the crop. genetic modification takes place in a lab, and then the genetically modified seed is planted just like with regular crops. the crops grow just like normal plants, but display the characteristics of whatever genes were spliced into their DNA, whether that is resistance to bugs, or taller plants, or a particular color.

if anything, pesticides/herbicides are gonna fall under the auspices of artificial chemical/toxin ingestion. a lot of the chemicals that are applied during farming are stored in the skin and fruit of the produce, and we ingest them when we eat. washing can take some of residues off the outer layer of skin, especially if you use soap, but won’t get all of them out of the inner layers.who knows what affect this is having on us and whether or not this is contributing to cancer or other degenerative diseases. we probably won’t know for a few more decades, but hopefully someone is doing some sort of longitudinal cross-reference study on this stuff.

are we trying to create categories for this?

Pete that is some scary stuff!!

What soap would you recommend buying to wash your fruits and veggies…? any tips?

I bet these auspices of artificial chemicals/toxins do more damage to our bodies then we think… I would not be surprised if this increased the rate of cancers and disease in our society.

I know there are other factors which may influence the increased number of cancer  (increased populations, better sciences, research/diagnosis, sanitary life styles ect) however we should try to eliminate all other factors such as our food, supplements, pollution, and lifestyle.

It’s a shame people have the mind set of “it wont happen to me”

Think about it guys… how many people do you now who suffered from cancer? I can came at least 30… what a shame

Hahaha, Kosher as a form of healthy… that’s awesome, I never thought about it that way but it’s totally true when you think about it. it might seem like a set of religious guidelines, but it comes down to what they thought was acceptable to eat/put in your body. That is essentially what we think of when it comes to health.
