I love mountain biking. It is truely an exhilirating experience. it is much more interactive than simply hitting the road. You are working constantly and if aren’t you probably need the recovery for the next obstacle. I do a great deal of road running and racing and it is a great change.

Yeah it is brutal…I compare it a lot to sprint workouts. There are moments when your heart feels like it is going to pound out of your chest and your lungs are burning. We do a lot of racing in the Pittsburgh area.

i’ve done a little bit of mountain biking and it is intense, although i admittedly was riding on some prety well established trails and wasn’t really doing too much trail blazing.
i did try to start doing some road biking a couple years ago and it was a nice change of pace. i live in the bay area where there are a ton of hills to ride up and down so it makes for a great place to bike for exercise, and the views aren’t too shabby to boot.

Mountain biking is just more exhilirating. Yes it is very dangerous. As I said before road biking is like road running…too easy to zone out. There is so much more stimulation when on a rough trail.
