“Girls spend hundreds of dollars every year on makeup and lotions and other products to make their skin look better, but maybe all they need to do is work out a little more”

I use to spend so much money on good face products.. Honestly the best face wash for me are the cheap ones with NOTHING in them such as purpose, Cetaphil and trader joes brand…

I noticed that my skin cleared up right away by using mild face wash and lotion.

Check out my favorite skin and make up products..

a couple different ways working out influences collagen production:
a) collagen is a fibrous protein. working out increases protein synthesis, probably as an adaptation. since lifting weights causes damage to muscular tissues, your body stimulates protein synthesis to build up stronger tissues and prevent that damage from happening again. more collagen means healthier, stronger skin tissues.

b) exercise also decreases cortisol levels, and since cortisol causes degradation of collagen into simple amino acids, exercise leads to less collagen degradation.

That is great advice..

Its crazy how working out helps increase collagen in your face due to the production of protein synthesis..

Also, i thought exercise increase cortisol during the time period you are training?? Wouldn’t this work against you by increasing cortisol??

I also noticed a difference in my skin when i started taking fish oil.. I am not sure if it was due to working out or change of diet but my skin definitely looks better..

working out increases cortisol levels while the activity is going on, but decreases overall cortisol levels throughout the day. it reduces stress, which leads to less cortisol production.
