Which do you prefer?
I think running on a flat trail is hard on your feet, and could cause more injuries. As to comparison to running on the treadmill where you have better impact on the black tarp. Maybe not the correct wording but you see what I’m saying.
Has anybody experienced injuries from either one?

I think running on trails or on the street is better for you because its not flat so it is better workout.

Running on trails can cause your ankles a lot more stress (because of more Range of Motion), thus, it effects the rest of your body. It starts with the knees and thne goes to your hips as well. It is like a chain reaction, as your body is connected! But, that is with very few people. Often times after 1-2 weeks of running on the trails they don’t notice any pain, just the usual soreness. I think it is a little better to run on trails for me - because the scenery is usually 10x better and just being in nature is nice. Running on a road can be so boring, as can a treadmill. I would rather do anything int his world than run on a treadmill. I have to be moving FORWARD, ya know? Exploring the world!

I don’t like to run period, but if I had to I rather be running away from a bear on a trail because it would be better scenery and less boring then running on a track or a treadmill. Plus with a treadmill you don’t get anywhere and I feel like I do not accomplish anything unless I am moving and covering ground.

Do you happen to like the rower at all? We have one at the gym and I love it. It’s funny because I never thought I would like it and kinda looked at people doing it as they were wasting thier time, which was wrong of me of course because I never tried it. But now I am addicted to it and do the rower a couple times a week and it has really helped my cardio level.

So, if you were running away from a bear you would rather be running on a trail because of the scenery???????????? You would be thinking about the scenery if you were running from a beaR? LOL hmm seems like something might be off here. Maybe the scenery could equate to some better hiding spots? haha.

Really? MadMax, the squat KING is addicted to rowing for cardio purposes 2x per week? I really would not have guessed that in my wildest dreams. That is pretty crazy. How long do you do it for?

I try to do 500 meter row twice a week for two sets. nothing crazy just something to break up the monotony of training.
