For me, I keep an online log of my workouts and diet… DAILY.. I also watch videos of my favorite power lifters and bodybuilders, this really inspires me to work harder. I also look back at my fat boy pic.. YIKES!

I pretty much have a set schedule.
I plan my workouts 1 week in advance
I plan and prepare my meals every Sunday and Wednesday
I buy all my groceries on Sunday and prepare my food in ready to go and cook containers

For example, I prepare and measure all my chicken, veggies, home protein bars, and brown rice on Sunday which last me until Wednesday
Wednesday is my day off from the gym and that’s when I prepare the rest of my meals.

Keep in mind that I prepare all my boyfriends meals so I cook in BULK…

In the beginning it’s hard but you get used to it.
It becomes a life style, you just have to be disciplined, have good time management, dedication, and stay focused.

There is no room for excuses!!!!!!! JUST DO IT

Your tired… excuse
You don’t have time… excuse
You don’t like to cook… excuse
You have other agendas… excuse

YOU MAKE THE TIME FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!! Then it becomes part of your daily routine …just like brushing your teeth and showering

What are your thoughts

X 10!!  It is easy to talk yourself out of the gym if you don’t insist on making it part of your day and more so - you LIFE.  Make some gym buddies - folks who will hold you accountable and be as serious as you.
The more you go the more of a habbit and lifestyle it becomes and then you will find yourself in a BAD mood if you miss a workout!!
Best of Luck!!

set long term goals but more importantly set short term goals.  you really need to get fired up to be successful.  make sure ur diet/training are in check.  for me seeing changes in my body and strength gains is my number 1 motivation to keep going hard. when i first started lifting i began getting compliments all the time when other people saw the changes.  i get off on that attention it makes me want more and more.

I write out my goals and I write them in a way that shows I am confident it can be done.  For example:
I WILL weigh 200 pounds and bench press 350 pounds.
I WILL run a mile in less than eight minutes.
Do this and you should feel an immediate boost in motivation.

I never had any problem with motivation when I was competing.  Now, I pretty much have no motivation, lol.

I think the key is competition.

Sorry laura I was kidding, but I really do know a few people who have had heartattacks because of lack of excercise and poor diet and it really did help me to appreciate my workouts a little more.
