I was so addicted to this energy drink called
“Go Girl”. They are  so tasty you just want more and more… yes very addicting.
I found myself a few years back drinking up to 3 a day which i know isn’t good… Even though they say sugar free. I finally stopped drinking them cauae I was getting to many headaches, and i think it was really messing up my stomach.
So here are there ingredients , what do you think?
Do you have a opinion? Also could too many
energy drinks cause you to have a stroke?

Know your ingredients. The
ingredients of Go Girl Sugar Free are specifically formulated to give
you an energy boost. While generally increasing your overall awareness,
Go Girl Sugar Free stimulates your metabolism and can aid in endurance
and concentration.
Riboflavin is vitamin B-complex essential for growth. It is commonly found in milk, fresh meat, eggs, leafy vegetables, etc….
Niacin Or Vitamin B3 is required for cell
respiration. It helps release energy and metabolise carbohydrates, fats,
and proteins. Niacin can also aid in proper circulation, healthy skin,
and nervous system function.
Pyridoxine Vitamin B6 assists the immune system and
the growth of new cells. It is also used in the processing and
metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, while assisting in mood
control due to hormonal imbalance. It supports the balancing of sodium
and potassium as well as promotes red blood cell production. It is
further involved in the nucleic acids RNA as well as DNA. Pyridoxine
Vitamin B6 has been linked to cancer immunity, in addition to fighting
the formation of the toxic chemical homocysteine, which is detrimental
to the heart muscle.
Vitamin B12 helps form red blood cells and maintains
the health of the nervous system. Nerves are surrounded by an
insulating fatty sheath comprised of a complex protein called myelin.
B12 plays a vital role in the metabolism of fatty acids essential for
the maintenance of myelin.
Pantothenic Acid Vitamin B5 is a B-complex vitamin.
Pantothenic Acid is essential for growth, reproduction, and normal
physiological functions. It is involved in a number different metabolic
pathways including: energy metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and
lipids.
Magnesium is a naturally occurring mineral. It is
important for many systems in the body especially the muscles and
nerves. It can also be used for relief for the heartburn and sore
stomach.
Taurine is an organic acid. It acts as an
antioxidant and protects against toxicity in various substances (i.e.
lead and cadmium). Taurine has been shown to prevent oxidative stress
induced by exercise. There has also been evidence that taurine is
beneficial toward blood pressure.
Super-Citrimax® aka Garcinia Cambogia is extracted
from the South American garcinia cambogia, it contains standardized
levels of hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which has been clinically shown to
suppress appetite and inhibit fat production.

Trimethylxanthine aka Caffeine. Caffeine is a
central nervous system (CNS) stimulant. It can temporarily ward off
drowsiness and restore alertness. Besides the coffee plant, caffeine can
be found in yerba maté, guarana berries, and the yaupon holly.
Inositol is involved in a number of biological
processes. It helps prevent the collection of fats in the liver. The
presence of inositol also aids in efficient processing of nutrients into
the conversion of energy, which in turn, helps the body to maintain a
healthy metabolism.
Glucuronolactone is a naturally occurring chemical
compound. It is produced by the metabolism of glucose in the liver.
Glucuronolactone aids in fighting off fatigue and also provides a sense
of well being.

i don’t recommend energy drinks to anyone, for any reason. yes, they are sources of various vitamins and minerals that can help stimulate your metabolism and give you a pick-me-up, but these aren’t naturally concocted recipes. these vitamins and minerals don’t occur in this state in nature, so we don’t really know if they are having the effect on our bodies that these companies claim they do. there is a little research on each of these compounds individually, but whose to say that Taurine or any of these other ingredients perform those functions without other vitamins/minerals/fats.

many of these drinks also contain plenty of worthless, and even potentially harmful, chemicals such as food colorings and additives. of course Go Girl didn’t list those things in their ingredients list on that website, but that isn’t a nutrition facts label, it is a marketing page. the fact that you are artificially supressing your appetite also can’t be a good thing. your body becomes hungry because it needs sustenance, and needs things like amino acids, fats and carbohydrates from your food so it can function properly, and surpressing those signals from your body can have some seriously bad consequences and result in malnutrition and other problems.

one of these is probably fine every once in a while, but i certainly wouldn’t recommend you continue to drink 3 per day.

i would NOT have energy drinks unless it was coffee or tea.. why do you want to junk up your body with crap?

If you have no energy you need to look into “why” maybe you are not recovering, eathing enough, or lacking good vitamin..

Once you start using energy drinks your body adapts and you need it all the time in more doses sometimes..

I would stay away from most energy drinks like red bull ect..
