What is your “go to” healthy dish when eating out?

if i’m going out, i usually don’t try for a healthy dish and instead consider that my 10% of the time “life happens”. i will occasionally try to make something better, such as ordering a burger “protein style” at In n Out, but typically i eat whatever i want when i go out

i see  your point..
usuallly when i go out to eat it is my cheat day.. but in this case i am going out to eat 3 times this week and i cant have a cheat three times..

I was asking what do you orer thats healthy so its not really a cheat…

I either go for sushi with no rice, salad with dresing on the side.. steamed veggies, grilled chicken, grilled white fish, shrimp.

however when i went to houlihans the other day i had trouble finding something clean.. all there salads were shit and i dont trust how they cook there grilled chicken.. i bet they ad alot of salt and grill it over oil.

ah, yeah it’s kinda hard to give exact things without a menu. most sit down restaurants can actually do custom orders though if you specifiy what you want. if you simply want some grilled chicken, some steamed veggies and a salad, you should be able to request it even if it isn’t on the menu and more often than not the cooks will accomodate it. that’s something to keep in mind if you are going out to sit-down places instead of fast food.

true.. thats what i usually do…

the cheese on the salad is tempting lol i might steal a bite.

all kidding aside.. i always find something healthy to eat at a resturant HOWEVER i dont like when they try to trick you and tell you that the grilled chicken was not cooked in oil.. somethings i looks grose and greesy..

even omelets.. you have to ask for dry no oil (just pam).. you always have to be on your toes because they sneak in bad ingredients
