What are  your thoughts?  This sounds CRAZY!!!!

Belly button rings or piercings disrupt body composition by interfering with the acupuncture meridian.

Every single Biosignature seminar we get students to remove them. We had a Swedish woman here lose 44% of her hamstrings skin fold in three days, just by removing her belly button piercing.

She went from 13.8 to 11.9% body fat in that sort amount of time.

I have read many studies and they have proof that this is true!!!

“I was one of the converted I took belly button piercing out Feb 2009 whilst attending my first biosignature course in Sydney. I had uneven bodyfat distribution over my abdominal region. My left side reading higher than my right. Charles thought this could be due to my piercing and so I took it out. They have since evened up”

Wow, that’s nuts! I have never heard that before. Do you have the link to the article? I’d like to see what else they had to say about this and whether or not there is a scientific mechanism that they can point to.

These are the only two links i could find right now.. i will look for the studies.  I have a belly ring so this is really interesting for me.. I wonder if this would make a slight difference

Thanks Llulko, that’s fascinating. Who would’ve thunk that doing something like that might possibly affect how susceptible you are to diseases. I don’t know a whole lot about Chinese medicine or Qi/Chi but it’s crazy to think that they’ve been using stuff like acupuncture for over 5000 years without our technology and that they were actually on to something. I’m kinda glad I never got one after hearing that!!!

this is crazy—so can the same hold true for other piercings or is it just if you have piercings in that accupuncture meridian?

That sounds absolutely nuts to me. I don’t see how that could be possible.

How would removing a belly piercing increase the burning of fat, at the whole body level?
Poliquin, from what I know is supposed to be a pretty good strength coach, but that comment is just worthless information in my opinion.

I would love to see what kind of research they have behind that. I still am very skeptical that excess body fat is caused by belly piercing.
