Haha come on, you gotta lay off me a little bit here. I Have been working out for a few months now so I can’t say it is a completely fresh start. I have lost 20lbs since the start 2 months ago- while gaining strength. So I would say I am on the right track!
-
Today was:
Squats- up to 275x5, 225x12
Leg Ext- 3x12
Leg Curl- 3x12
Hip Sled- 3x10 (4 plates each side)
Some light ab work

Great job on the weight loss. It really does seem like you have turned your life around. Do you just do all your own programming? Or how did you decide to do the type of lifts/reps/sets you are doing? Do you just go by feel?

Back Squats- up to 300x2, 235x2x10
Power Cleans- 90kgx5x3
Box Jumps- 10x5
Ab Work
Also did some jump rope.

I always used to be on specific programs. I would be on some new deadlift program, some new squat program, something. However, I Always found that a specific program didn’t take into account life factors such as sleep, food, bodyweight fluctuations, and hormone level fluctuations. Ya know? Or, your girlfriend breaking up with you so you stay up until 5am. That type of stuff lol. That stuff can, and will, take an effect on your training at some point.
-
Since I am not trying to compete in any sport necessarily I See no reason to stress about going word for word from a program. I still set goals and whatnot, but, I don’t feel the stress of a program.

Oh wow. That is very interesting. I had never looked at it that way but what a great outlook on having a training program vs. not having one. Amazing stuff right there for the every day general gym rat to consider!

This morning:
I did 200 box jumps just to try to get some of the soreness out. Later I will try to do some upper body work. I can’t wait until I am back to my high school bodyweight and shredded! Yahoo!

haha! Oh man. I was absolutely dead the last couple days. Although I think the soreness is starting to go away now. Box jumps are just where you jump on a box haha. Pretty simple. I really really regret doing the squats now lol.
