It’s off to college next year and unfortunately no more football. So that means at 6’1 240lbs I no longer need the extra weight to keep me from getting tossed around on the line. So I have started today eating a 60-20-20 diet. I used the websites calculator to get how much calories I should eat for proteins carbs and fats. I’m going to a NYSC after work to get the college discount and get going. Lately I have been running at least 1.5 miles per day and watching what has been going in but I am really going to focus and write stuff down for the rest of the summer. 65 days and counting until school… always looking for suggestions on workouts, dieting, etc.

i know that it’s tough for athletes to change their exercise and diet habits after they stop playing and a lot of them start to get really fat and out of shape cause they continue to eat the same way that they ate when they were practicing and playing every day. at least you’ve had the foresight to change your diet already and keep training at a minimal level.

Thanks Spitz. I made a decision yesterday at to set aside 90 days for the p90x workout plan. I started yesterday and if I can stick with it I am pretty sure this weight is going to fall off. Nutrition is going to change to 50% protein 30% carbs and 20% fat. I am very excited after what the first workout had me doing it was awesome. looking forward to today’s workout…

Sound like you have a good plan roadhouse. I know that when I drink to much caffine I start to lose alot of weight, so i have cut down on the coffee! Maybe if you statred drinking coffee it would help! lol sorry dude I dont know alot about losing weight, good luck though. 2012
