stuck with my plan of 8 work sets with the varied grips (2 sets on each finger) 4 sets of 5 & 4 triples satarted at 250 & made 10lb jumps, then a twenty lb jump for a single. after the 340 didn’t have much left in the tank for accesories. we hit heavy incline for 3 of 5, then hardy presses supersetted with kick backs for 2 of 20 each, followed by shoulders did some Arnolds, supersetted with front laterals, topped it off with 4 sets of side laterals. I’m smoked

10/11/10 HEAVY PULL -4 DOUBLES & 1 SINGLE did 10 lb jumps today hit 505/515/525/535 for my doubles & 555 for a single hoping the volume will allow me to bring up my pull
accesory work:seated good mornings for 4x8 pullthrus (green band) supersetted with a hack squat machine for 2 sets of twenty, then hanging cleans for three sets, finished off with some forearm & grip work.

heavy bench day 10/13/2010 — went with a five lb jump this week. so my 4 sets of 5 were 255/265/275/285 and the 4 triples were 295/305/315/325 & my single was at 345. decided to hit triceps hard today so we did dumbell hell (flat/incline/decline) all for 8 reps with no rest in between for 3 sets, then hit machine pullovers to hit the seratus and start the lat work, did one arm cable rows for 4 sets, then 2 sets of 20 on bent over dumbell rows, finished off with a burner set of plate raises for 20 reps (held to 45lb plates together). exhausted but happy with the results.

Sounds awesome, but what do you mean by “two sets on each finger”? Are you doing bench presses where you only use single fingers? I don’t get it…

to bring my raw bench up to 405 before the end of the year & to continue to help my shirt bench. I train 4 days per week. I’m a powerlifter, so my focus is on the squat, bench,& deadlift but I will do any form of lift to bring those 3 up.

Thank you! I’ve been lifting competivly for a little over three years. A good friend of mine was competing and at one time had one of the top 10 squates in the world. I was intrigued & he invited me to lift with his team. Shortly after his career was cut short by injury but by that time I was hooked. I enjoy pushing my body to the edge. As far as supplementation, I occasionaly take a pre-workout drink such as Juggernaut or No-Explode and try to drink a protein drink during the workout(Iso-Pure) to fill the muscles as they work for enegy purposes. I am not on any special diet, I do eat more then the average bear, try to do 5-6 meals a day to keep my energy up.
