I’m currently coming off a back injury that happened about a month ago after the American Open. These week was my first week back doing snatch and clean and jerk from the floor. It has been a rough week tryin to come back but it has been getting better. Today the gym was as intense as i have ever seen it. The last couple months it has only been a couple of my teammates training. Do to injuries and things like that. Today we had a full team training. With about 10 guys all training. Training was great across the board with 12personal bests between all of us. I power snatched 110 today which is 2.5kg under my best but since it’s my first week back it was a very good lift. I also had a pr in the front squat at 155kg as well.

Tuesdays training was a a light day. I snatched up to 110kg and clean and jerked up to 130kg. No misses
Today was post to be a heavy day but my back was hurting today so i was only able to hit 110kg snatch and 120 clean and jerk. My coach had to me do front squats today because back squat hurts my back. So i did 3 sets of 5 at 130kg which was pretty easy. So hopefully my numbers will start going up as soon as i can get my back health.

Today’s training wasnt what i expected. We power snatched and power cleaned. I power snatched 105 and power cleaned 120 which are light numbers today. My back was hurting and my pull was all over the place. Best thing i can do is get focused for tomorrow. BIG LIFT FRIDAY!
Today’s afternoon workout went very well. I snatched up to 120kg then went back down and snatched up to 125kg. With a couple close misses at 130kg. I clean and jerked 140kg went back down and singled back up to 140kg. So a lot of big attempts for one workout.
Today was a light day for the snatch and clean. I snatched 110kg and clean 120kg with no misses.
Today is my heavy squat day. 3 sets of 5. Today was my first day i been able to back squat because of my back. It was painful but i managed to do my sets at 150kg. On the plus side my back has been feeling much better so hopefully it stays that way.
There is a competition tomorrow that some of my friends are bois are lifting in so want to wish them luck. I be there watching.

Rob I heard that the other day you were going crazy in the gym! I heard you went under 130kg twice locking them both out but missing them infront or behind. still good going under pr weight, that takes balls and guts, so good shit. thats good that your back is getting better, staying injury free is very key in this sport…or any sport i guess lol. even if you have a bad back, thats great you are still training with it and not backing down! keep fighting through that shit, to many people have a weird tweek and take to much time off, screw that, keep pushing! I will be there tomorrow at the meet in sacramento coaching my 14 year old super star aka future school age american record snatch holder aka olympic hopefull Andrew! This kid has a big future in this sport and will be great to watch him in the olympics! Training this week has been good but a little different without coach. I had a couple close misses at 130kg snatch on monday. They were just a little to far behind. Coach has been sick all week so it has just been me and my teammates. Big lift friday so hopefully i get that 130kg snatch today.
Hey jon i usually do not train on sundays. Usually i train monday through saturday. I’m not sure when my next meet will be. I’m feeling pretty good so most likely soon. Possibly at the competition at the end of the month. How did your lifter Andrew do? I have seen videos of him. He has amazing technique for being so young. How long as he been lifting?
Yesturday i did very well in the snatch. I snatched 130kg at 80kg body weight. 140 clean and jerk im still trying to get my pull back.
Today i did a 110 triple from the hang for snatch. Power cleaned 120kg which is the best i have done since my injury. So im getting better which is good.
I jerked 130kg for a set of 5 from the blocks which felt very light.

I did 120kg snatch and 130 clean and jerk. Wasnt really a good day as of weight but my technique and pull is starting to come back which was good.
Today power snatched 110kg and power cleaned 125kg. The 125kg is a pr since my injury. So im improving

Monday was a tough workout. Snatched 120kg. Clean and jerked 135kg. So that was a normal day. My coach has put me on a new squat program. I squat four times a week now. I did 125kg for 3 sets of 9 which wasnt heavy but i was sore the next day.
Tuesday was a rough day i only snatched 110 and clean and jerked 130. i was extremely sore.
today i hit 115 snatch. 130 clean and jerk. I squated 135kg for 4 sets of 7

Hey its been awhile many because i been doing a lot of things different fof training. I went to the arnold classic and only made my openers of 119 snatch and 140 clean and jerk. I had a back spasm in my warm ups on the snatch so i was in some serious pain during the competition. I dont have another big meet until nationals so i have been off and on with training the lifts. Last week was my first time taking time off in over a yr to try and give my back time to recover. I ended up hyper extending my back. SO i been having to do a lot of core work to try and even out my back and abs. Many planks and things like that. I started the lifts again this week but extremely light. I snatched 70kg yesturday and clean and jerked 90kg. Today i did 80kg power snatch and 100kg power clean. I plan on goin up slowly so i can keep my back from acting up again. So wish me luck

I been training again for the last 2 weeks. I had a competition last sunday. I snatched 121kg and clean and jerked 137kg which were my openers so not a great competition again but not bad for my first week of training.
I came in on monday the day after my competition. I snatched 120 and clean and jerked 140. Figures i would do a better total the day after a competition with my luck.

Jared im not really sure what my goals are for nationals as in numbers wise. I want to break into the top 10 in the country for the 85kg weight class. Originally i was thinking around a 290kg total. 135snatch and 155clean and jerk. but as good as i been feeling im goin to push myself and go after a 300kg total. 140kg snatch and 160 clean and jerk. I kno they wont be easy numbers to get. i have to put 10kg on both my best lifts but im a push to get as close as i can to those numbers.
