Now that my 2011 season is complete, I am in my improvement season. I have done seven shows this year, training and recouping through two major injuries, and spending WAY too much money. I was coaching high school volleyball while training for my last three shows of the season, and working a full-time job as a Reading Specialist. This created a TON of stress for me, and that stress took a major toll. I have learned that I will need to keep things at a minimum when training because the stress induced cortisol production prevents me from burning the fat I need to burn and leaves me so frazzled that I can”t give 100% to everything. I was left with no down time or relaxation…just a constant state of stress for four months.
My goal for this month, is to ‘be good” on my nutrition plan and make sure I get plenty of “active rest”.
Already in my second week of improvement, my metabolism has picked up and my body feels wonderfully rested. I can even feel a change in my mood! I am looking forward to the improvements I will make by the end of my third week. Will be keeping you updated!
