What exercises do you hate to do but do anyway….Basically because they kick your ass?

I actually hate:
-Shoulder press
-Pull ups/chin ups
-Front squats
-Step up…

I don’t know why I hate them but they definitely kick my butt!!!

RDL
Natural Glute ham raises

Guess I need stronger hammies

Jerks off rack (esp when you have to drop back to shoulders.  Even more brutal if ur doing dbls or trips).
Squat programs with loads of work (5 x 5 is the WORST!)
Box Squats
All abdominal work!

All brutal, but such great results!

my list is lunges, step ups, bulgarien squats
basically one leg exercises

Can we count running?! I hate running but it’s a necessary evil, hahaha.

I am with you gym class, I hate running!  I use cardio usually at the end of my workouts, or on my day off.  Running is the only one I really dislike, but I have to be able to run for the military, so I trudge through it.

xfitrob… I agree… all single leg work is brutal!!!

Single leg squats, step ups, Bulgarian split squats, single leg straight leg deadlifts ect

# 1 it’s HARD
#2 its time consuming
#3 it hits every single muscle
#4 It gets my heart rate pumping

But I love to hate them!!

Stiff Leg Deadlifts.  It bugs me to do them but they work.

Ha! on the evil of running!

I was a nationally-ranked track and xcountry runner for 10 years in my youth/teenage years, and interviewers would always ask me what I loved about running…

I was like, who likes running?!  Even then I hated the actual running part!

(Thats why I stick with Oly lifting now.  I really do love the sport!

When I played in high school dead-lifts was a stressed exercise by all my coaches because it helped focus my weigh and strength into a position most line men find themselves in when they are going head to head . I have small hands so when ever I used to use the dead-lift bar my hands would peal and leave blisters and whenever i touched anything after that they stung. But, I can definitely say dead-lifting helped me build all the proper muscles needed to compete against other linemen during games and practices.
