You can never go wrong with a bunch of appetizers. You can do chips, meat balls, carrots if you want to be healthy. The key is to just have a lot of food

If  you put sliced veggies with a healthy dip out poeople WILL eat it.. people just eat to eat at these events.. They dont eat just because they are hungrey..

I would def. give options and put healthy items out.. I hate when i go to parties and there is nothing but crap food.. I actually think its rude..

That is why i always bring a healthy dish..  Shrimp, cut veggies, hummus, pita chips, and other finger food listed in the link above is the way to go

actually that sounds really good, although i could go for some real cheese instead of Velveeta. i know it’s not the same and it’s probably tastier with Velveeta, but that stuff grosses me out, kinda like cheese from a spray can.

i’m all about the home-made guac.

I have not bought velveeta since last years super bowl….  normally I like GOOD cheese….  but, velveeta just goes with superbowl dip.  It just does.

Well Jared, I can always pick up a bag of gluten free chips or some such thing, and some organic salsa just for you, and the rest of us can partake of glorious meat and cheese gluttony.

Laura, even many obsessive dieters have a cheat day or cheat meal here and there, in fact that is a basic tenent in some diets that I have seen be very successful for many people.  The superbowl seems to me to be the perfect time for a good cheat meal.  I know velveeta isnt healthy.  Thats why I buy it only once a year, the day of the superbowl!

yeah, superbowl definitely fell in the “10% of the time LIFE happens” category, lol. i did make some killer guac though.

and in Glenn’s defense the thread title is “Superbowl Snacks”, not “Healthy Superbowl Snacks”. Velveeta cheese and (grass-fed?) beef slasa doesn’t sound bad at all.

I ate the last of my superbowl dip today…  mixed with eggs to make breakfast burritos.
Just thought everyone should know that it is all gone now…  until next year that is.
