What do you guys like to eat pre-workout to fuel you throughout your workout? Even if it’s not a snack- what is your pre workout meal?
I alwas like to have an apple with some peanut butter on it or something similar like that. Because it won’t fill me up but yet has some good carbs/energy in the apple, as well as some protein/fat in the pb.

Seeing as how my workouts can get really long in duration I like to eat some oatmeal as well. IT doesn’t upset my stomach at all anymore and I can eat it straight out of the packet without microwaving it!

when i was competing i always did best with eggs/sausage, or some red meat.  digests fast, doesnt upset the stomach, and sticks with you.   Thats what the top countries in OL would recommend for strength athletes, except they would want to add a bunch lard or butter, but I usually dont do that.

That is very interesting. They recommend the red meat and eggs pre workout? Or just the red meat?

Lately I have been having 3 eggs + 2 pieces of toast and a glass of water. It is light enough to the point where I don’t feel full, but, has enough carbs and protein to fuel my workout. Good stuff!
