Almond butter from trader joes!! = awesome

before you buy almond butter made in the US read this.

if it’s true (that farmers are required to pasteurize or fumigate their almonds before selling) then any “raw” almonds or almond butters you are buying in stores are completely worthless. that kind of treating with heat and chemicals will pretty much destory any good fats in the almonds and might even make them rancid.

I am still not giving up my trader joes almond flax almond butter though!!!

I just saw the peanut butter label with the monkey on it and the raisin swirl… sounds like an awesome protein shake ingredient… I am going to have to invest in this crazy peanut butter… 

I likethe almonds and cashews i get from safeway, cause i grind them  myself…  Its actually pretty neat, they have different mixes, even some things like cashews and chocolate.  you just grind it yourself right there in the store.  very neat.

I started making my own almond butter.  I switched from peanut butter to almond butter because i know it’s healthier for and it taste great!!
 
What  I do!!
 
I buy raw almond and blend them until they have a creamy consistency
 
I add chopped almonds, raw sesame seeds and whole flax and mix it all up
 
 
SOOO YUMMY! I love the crunchy texture and taste…

Your says organic but i wonder if there is a differance?
