What do you guys think about the FDA approving Genetically Engineered Salmon

Is this processed ALTERED GARBAGE or the REAL DEAL?? 
 
I cant believe the FDA approved this.. This just opens up a whole new can of worms.. 
  
  
 

anytime something natural is altered, you have to be skeptical…scary stuff!   would you eat it, llulko??

I would not eat that processed crap…..
 
 
BUT!!! Keep in mind that restaurants may serve this “altered” salmon because it obviously will be cheaper to buy…
 
 
I highly doubt the waiter/waitress will ask you “do you prefer Atlantic salmon or geneticly engineered salmon…  This scares me because other companies will look at this as a money saving break through and try to alter other foods we eat… pretty SCARY huh??

I agree with D, any time you alter something from it’s natural state you are playing with fire. It’s processed foods that have gotten us to the lows that we are at today, you think they would just leave it alone and stop messing with our food!
I definitely wouldn’t eat this.

you really have to be careful with salmon. not only are these genetically modified salmon something you should avoid, but farmed salmon in general. the feed they use in farms is terrible, the conditions are atrocious with salmon packed into ponds in huge numbers, and on top of the bad nutrient value this causes pretty much all farmed salmon is colored with additives because the meat isn’t a nice, natural pink color. you even have to watch out for “sustainably farmed” salmon that are fed things like carrots… in what world are carrots a natural diet for salmon?!
