Today I have two training sessions, I am about to get my shoes on and go hard for both of them. I half to push the training everyday to get ready for Americans in six months, going for Gold baby. There is a local meet july 3rd that I am going to compete at as well. who else is training today?
MuscleDog For Men > Sports Training > two a days
two a days
We train twice a day monday through friday, saturday just once and sunday off. Every practice we snatch, clean and jerk. in the AM training we usualy go a little lighter, and the volume is a little lower than the PM training. The PM training we go as heavy as we can. Some days we will work up to a few heavy singles and then drop down to around 85% and do a bunch of doubles. Some days we will double all the way up to max, go back down, back up again to max. We call this waves, working up down and back up is very good for consistancy. No matter what the volume is practice always consists of snatch clean and jerk, our coach believes the best way to get good at snatch clean and jerk is to snatch clean and jerk! we also squat after every practice, front or back whatever coach says to do! Saturdays we do everything the same but we eaither clean pull or snatch pull, then sguat. thats it! Then it starts all over!
some weeks we will do more volume, meaning more lifts over and over and over again around 85, 90% to work on consistancy. But some weeks we will treat a training session like an actuall meet, work up to a few as heavy as we go sinlges on both snatch and clean and jerk, this gets us use to what we do in meets.

how heavy do you go when you do your 10-30 singles?
Yes you work up as heavy as technique allows. If your technique is good (as it should be) then you go up to maximum.
Some of the reps will be lighter and some will be heavier. Its a matter of what looks good and how strong you are that day.

I have heard of people squatting 8 times a day. Going as close to “MAX” as possible. Do you think this will lead to “overtraining”?
If you had never trained before in your life and walked into a gym and tried to do someones workout could you? probably not does that mean your overtrained, no it means your undertrained you literally havn’t done enough training to complete that kind of workout and recover etc.
