Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had good tips or workouts to increase my bench press, becasue as of right now its the focus point for me because as some of you may know a strong chest is good for football. Currently i max 180, pretty light stuff, but i have until mid august to increase it before football season and combines start, i was hoping to get it to be at least 230, any help?

My suggestion is to vary your max effort bench exercises. One week hit flat, the next decline, the next floor presses. Add in some bands and chains to accomodate resistance. Pound your triceps heavy…CGs, DB floor press, rolling tricep extensions. Avoid too much isolation work as it has little effect on absolute strength.
