my Job

Understanding that this is your life is sometimes hard to think.  The pressure is so much greater to win.  I have no excuses, I cant say “well work has been crazy lately.”  I cant say that I haven’t had time to get into the gym.”   I have all the tools that I need to win, and win is what I have to do, not need to do.  This is my Job, My job is to win.  People always so, “wow so you get paid to train!’   so your job is to lift weights?  no no no, my job is to win, to win Gold no matter what meet I am at, weather It’s the Pan Am games, Americans, or some local meet.  If I dont win then I get kicked off the team, there goes my sponserships, my coach, my name, who I am, the reason why I wake up in the morning.  Then I would be another guy makeing money, watching football, playing some golf on the weekends and yep, your average joe.  fuck that, no way, I need to win to keep my name, to keep my job and my liofestyle.  even though my job is very demanding and hard, who’s isn’t though.  With the tools I have, my natural athletism, my strength, and my support group I should neevr lose.  The only thing that can beat me is my mind.  Myself.  when I think to much I lose, I need to be cocky, I have to be cocky.  It’s a way to trick my mind into not thinking to much about the weight that is mean muging me everyday, I see it in the corner of my eyes, I know its looking at me, but I dont let it know that I see it, I dont give it the time and day, if I do that weight and the pressure would get to me to much.  I have to let the weight and my competitors never ever see me sweat, when they do, thats when they win.  thats why I let them know “the champ is hear” when I walk in the room, I like to get in there heads.  I will take gold at americans, and after words I will let everyone know again and again and again that I am number one over and over to just fuck with them.  becuase fuck em.  “Im in it to win it, so im going to let this chip on my shoulder lift.’  2012

Damn straight Jon. Just like the late George Steinbrenner used to say:

“Winning is the most important thing in my life, after breathing. Breathing first, winning next.”

It’s also part of your job to teach these young kids packing into our gym how to love and perform this sport as well as you do. We’re trying to build this sport back up and get people into it, and we need someone like you to emerge and draw attention back to it. You keep doing what you’re doing and we’ve got your back.

Wow so inspiring… That’s the attitude you need to be a winner… You come first in your life right know… Your main priority is to win!! YOU ARE RIGHT… it’s IS YOUR JOB TO WIN and you will…

Never let go of that attitude and go in it like you already won first place!!
