As the weather becomes nicer out and summer time is getting closer everyone is looking to have that lean look. I have heard that there are some products out that actually focus on removing excess water from the body which could leave one with a more define look. I was wondering if anyone knew of these products, also which is a good one to take?
Water Retention, ways to decrease it?
i’ve heard that fitness competitors load up on potassium a couple
days before competitions cause it helps to eliminate water retention.
not sure if you are referring to diuretics which purge some water the shitty way…
as far as using supplements to simulate that lean look, i don’t know if i would actually recommend using anything. this isn’t like wearing the color black, or wearing stripes to give the appearance of being leaner; this is actually messing with your body chemistry which can be dangerous, particularly in the case of diuretics which can leave you dehydrated. if you have an example of one of these products i’ll take a look but i can’t really think of much more than recommending that you try for a leaning phase.

While there are many products out there (Hydroxycut and the like) that focus more on losing water weight than fat, I don’t recommend using any of them. Your body holds only as much water as it needs, and your kidneys purge the excess. If you’re holding water, it’s because your body needs it, so “excess water weight” really doesn’t exist.
Further, cutting water to look leaner doesn’t really work for any substantial period of time (maybe a week or so?), because your body will start retaining more water from the foods and drinks you do consume. In other words, you’ll just pee less in order to retain water, and over time it will become more difficult to remain in the dehydrated state.
