Definition of a Lurker:

“A lurker is a person who reads discussions on a message board, newsgroups, chat rooms, file sharing or other interactive system, but rarely or never participates actively”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lurkers

Why are there more lurkers on MuscleDog then people who post… If you are a lurker please give us your insight….

Muscledog.com is like a free personal trainer/nutritionist.

Why wouldn’t you take advantage of this site and get free, fast and informative perspectives on training and nutrition.

It blows my mind!!!

Well welcome back TJ, haha. I saw that you used to post a bunch on here in the older threads.

I’m loving this site, hopefully we’ll get more people posting. It’s nice to have a place to go to talk about this stuff and learn new tricks, not many of my friends are interested in lifting or nutrition. =(

Hey man just hang loose right now at least the opinions and information we all share is worthy of reading and no BS. But it would be nice to get some good solid discussion going.

i guess some people are funny about posting stuff.  maybe they feel intimidated by other members or are just part of the site to obtain information rather than participate.
who knows—bottom line is that knowledge comes from interaction so get posting MuscleDoggers!

llulko, I have to agree with D Unit’s comment. I think some people just want to browse and learn something new, not post their own ideas…in fact, I occasionally “lurk” as you call it because I don’t consider myself educated enough about fitness to make a comment. I would rather log in and read about something that interests me. I write web copy for a living, I am trained in english and journalism and taken many web writing courses, so please don’t take this as mindless or mean-spirited criticism.  I am actually quite a fan of your journals and posts, however, I find this site to be a bit too busy and crowded. There are some tabs and sections that don’t make much sense and navigating gets confusing. I would make better use of your homepage, it opens up to the same picture of the guy doing lat pulldowns but I would focus on posting a “blurb” about your latest content there! Think about how alluring magazine covers are, they are covered with “teasers” to grab your interest really quick. I’m not saying to change the content of the site, just make your new content stand out a little more. Some basic principles of web sites are 1. if it makes the user feel stupid, they won’t come back and 2. it’s got to be updated very frequently, if users see the same thing every time they log in, they will get bored and not come back. Hope this helps!!! Sorry such a long post, but I’ve felt this way about this site since I signed up a long time ago. Thanks!
