I was taking a pair of dumbbells off the rack and I heard this awful grunting noise. I looked over at the guy and he was all decked up with sweatbands, braces and his headsets. After skull crushing he literally threw his weight off of his chest and jumped up and began to play the air guitar and make this face like he was a metal rocker on stage at a concert. I had to walk away because i needed to lose it…

Hahaha, those are awesome. There are a couple of guys who I used to see at 24 Hour fitness who would bring their girlsfriends in to watch them lift. Most of the time the girls would just sit there and watch, occasionally they would do some shoulder exercises with 5 lb dumbbells, but for some reason, these guys always had these tiny girls spotting them when they were using the incline bench press. It used to crack me up. Here you have these huge guys putting up like 300 lbs on the incline bench, with these little 110 lb girls “spotting” them like they would make any difference if their man lost the weight. Comical sight.

Another one of my favorite moments is when I watched this 30 year old guy miss a squat in a rack. But, he couldnt get himself to just drop the weight off his back. So from across the room I watched him sit in the bottom of a squat for over a MINUTE. The reason I didn’t help is because it was 185lbs and I halfway didn’t know if he was serious. And, he didn;t yell for help. He ended up tipping the weights off both sides and falling over to the side that was loaded last hahahaha. It was amazing. I then went over and had to laugh at him to his face for not just dumping it behind him like I have done 10,000 times.
