I look forward to eating A LOT, it’s once a year were I let my self basically binge.

My favorite dishes this year was my wonderful avocado dip, home made cranberry sauce, home made cranberry bread, brussel sprouts, baked yams and cheese cake.  (A lot of it)

Hey guys,

Thanksgiving is coming up, that means lots and lots of yummy food.  Even though it’s a time to indulge, I try to make healthy tasty dishes so I won’t feel too guilty.

You can make a great healthy side dish, deserts and toppings by being creative.

Here is a guilt free recipe I like for PUPMKIN PIE!!!

DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY TO SHARE !!!!!

PUMPKIN PIE

Awesome healthy desert for thanks giving.

For Crust
2 cups Fiber One bran cereal (original)
1/4 cup light whipped butter or light buttery spread (like Brummel & Brown)
3 tbsp. Splenda No Calorie Sweetener (granulated)
1 tsp. cinnamon

For Filling
One 15-oz. can pure pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie filling!)
One 12-oz. can evaporated fat-free milk
1/2 cup fat-free liquid egg substitute (like Egg Beaters Original)
3/4 cup Splenda No Calorie Sweetener (granulated)
1/4 cup sugar-free pancake syrup
1 tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
Optional Topping: Fat Free Reddi-wip or Cool Whip Free

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine butter with 2 tbsp. water. Microwave until just melted, and set aside.

In a blender or food processor, grind Fiber One to a breadcrumb-like consistency.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine butter mixture and crumbs with remaining ingredients for crust. Stir until mixed well.

Spray an oven-safe 9-inch pie dish lightly with nonstick spray.

Evenly distribute crust mixture, using your hands or a flat utensil to firmly press and form the crust. Press it into the edges and up along the sides of the dish. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for the filling. Mix well. Pour mixture into pie crust. The filling may be taller than the crust -- trust us, this is okay!

Bake pie in the oven for 45 minutes. Allow pie to cool slightly. Refrigerate for several hours (overnight is best). Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

Cut into 8 slices and, if you like, top with Reddi-wip or Cool Whip before serving!

WELL IM FEELING A LOT BETTER NOW AND I AM GETTING BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS.

IF THERE IS ONE THING I CAN SAY AND EVERYONE WILL TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION, DONT EVER PUSH IT TO FAR.  I WAS BENCHING 365 ON MONDAY OF LAST WEEK AND I WAS REPPING IT OUT PRETTY GOOD. I HIT MY 7TH-8TH REP AND THEN IT WENT. A SLIGHT TARE TO MY LEFT PEC.  MAN WAS I MAD AT MYSELF. I COULD HAVE STAYED AT 315 AND GOT JUST AS MUCH OUT OF IT, BUT NO I HAD TO TAKE IT OVER THE TOP.  IN DOING THAT I JUST TOOK TWO STEPS BACK.. NOW I AM WORKING MY WAY BACK TO WHERE I WAS.

SO EVERYTIME YOUR AT THE GYM AND DEBATING ON HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO LIFT, IF YOU HAVE TO SECOND GUESS IT JUST TRAIN A LITTLE LIGHTER.  DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID.

Well just when everything seemed to be going right the unthinkable happened.... I was getting into a good workout on Monday the 17th when all of the sudden I heard this horrific noise..  I had reached to my left chest and instantly went to the ER.  Soon to find out I had slightly tore my left pec.  I was in shock, and all I could think of was that my career was over..

However, luckly it wasn't that bad.  The doctor said to lay off training for a week or so and work my way back into it..  It has been 2 days now and my range of motion is back and it's just a little sore...   I feel my recovery time will be fast, but I am still going to take it slow..

Being that I have injured myself, I am not going to let it get me down.. I am going to keep moving forward and think positive.  My legs can always use some help so I am going to focus on them more now until my injury is healed.  Then I will be back in the swing of things in know time.

Wish me luck!

Dave Jr.

Ok guys,

So this morning I went to the gym at 5:45.  I was ready and pumped to do a killer cardio work out.

As I was getting ready to pre set my stair master I noticed that the man who used the machine before me left an absolutely disgusting sweaty mess.

I am all for breaking a sweat but at least clean up your stink.  He does this every single morning.  The last thing I want to do at 5:45 AM is clean up after someone.

I have one hour time limit in the morning to workout, it made me furious that I wasted 5 minutes of my workout for this inconsiderate individual.

DEFINITLY A BIG PET PEEVE!!!!!!!!!

Do you have anyone like this in your gym?????

Hey DAVE.

Congratulations, that’s awesome.

I agree with you 100%

Training and competing puts a big toll on your significant other.

They have to deal with your training schedule your mood swings, the food you eat, your social settings, and your basic life style conversations.

I remember when I competed my significant other went through a lot with me.

It’s hard to be in a relationship with someone that does not follow your passion or understands the circumstances that come with it.

I give her two thumbs up for dealing and supporting your passion

GOOD LUCK BUDDY

OCTOBER 30TH IS ANOTHER BIG DAY.... I TAKE MY FIRST SET OF PHOTOS FOR THE MASS PROGRAM IN MUSCLE&BODY MAGAZINE...  IT IS GOING TO BE A GREAT OFF SEASON.  I AM CURRENTLY 209LBS AND THE MUSCLE KEEPS PACKING ON..  I OWE A LOT TO AMINOGEN... WHILE OTHER SUPPLEMENTS ARE HELPING ME WITH MY TRAINING,  MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS TO MAKE SURE I ABSORB AS MUCH PROTEIN AS POSSIBLE AND AMINOGEN ALLOWS ME TO DO THAT...  MAKE SURE YOUR PROTEIN CONTAINS IT BECAUSE PROTEIN ABSORBTION IS KEY IN MUSCLE GROWTH.

Well I'm not sure if anyone was informed, but I'm getting married next month... November 29th is the big day!!!  I can't wait!!!  I have been with me fiance' Kristin for 4 years and its been a blast.. She has supported me in everything I do and has been able to stick it out through all of my dieting.  If anyone can make it through a bodybuilders dieting stage, they deserve a lot of credit cause I def. get grumpy at times.  You may have seen her around at the expo's, in Muscle&Body Magazine or on Muscledog as well.  Her Muscledog profile name is Kristilynn...

Take care everyone,
Dave jr.
